Morgan was born in Rathfarnham, Dublin in 1971.
From an early age Morgan showed a flair for pencil drawing, spending many hours recreating his favourite comic book characters. This interest continued throughout his school years, and while he decided not to pursue a course in Art College, he passionately continued his art work as a hobby in his spare time.
Completely self taught the quality of his highly finished pencil works soon lead to numerous commissions all through word of mouth. With the commitments of work and travel, Morgan took an unplanned break from art for more than six years. On his return to drawing in 2007 he found the ability and passion was still there, and in 2008 he took up oil painting for the first time and hasn’t looked back.
Now working with the help of Brian McCarthy, one of Ireland's leading Artists, Morgan’s thriving in the craft of oil painting. One of Morgan’s passions and subsequent inspirations for his paintings comes from his love of wildlife.
Morgan has been lucky enough to have visited and photographed all seven continents and has seen all of his subjects in their natural habitats, which gives him a unique insight and allows him to capture this in his paintings.
Since Morgan first showed his art works publicly at the 2009 Art fair, he has attracted a lot of interest both nationally and internationally and his works can be found in private collections in Ireland, Europe and the States.
